Discipleship curriculum
The curriculum is made up of four 12-week courses:
- Primary Christian Doctrine
- Personal Growth in Godliness
- Principles of Ministry
- Practical Christian Living
Primary Christian Doctrine
Primary Christian Doctrine, the first course of CBC’s discipleship curriculum, is in session in the Fellowship Hall during the Sunday School hour in the winter quarter (Jan – Mar 2010). It addresses the theology and practicality of the following fundamental doctrines of the Christian faith: the Word of God, the Godhead, creation and the fall of man (including total depravity), divine election and human responsibility, the person and work of Christ, grace and the call to salvation (including irresistible grace), saving faith, salvation, the person and work of Satan, the person and work of the Holy Spirit, the perseverance of the saints, and the return of Jesus Christ.
Workbooks are necessary. Those attending should complete corresponding lessons in advance. The electronic version of the workbook is available for download: "In the Steps of Christ: Primary Christian Doctrine".
